Data Quality Engineer / ETL Tester

We are seeking a skilled Data Quality Engineer / ETL Tester with strong SQL expertise and hands-on experience in data validation, automation frameworks (especially Azure), and Python scripting. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test strategies to ensure accuracy, integrity, and quality of data across enterprise systems.

• Conduct ETL testing, data migration validation, and data quality assurance for multiple data sources and targets.

• Design and execute complex SQL queries for validating and reconciling data transformations throughout the ETL lifecycle.

• Analyze and troubleshoot data anomalies, mismatches, and integrity issues across databases like Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.

• Collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and development teams to define detailed test cases and data requirements.

• Automate data validation processes using Python scripting and modern testing frameworks, including those integrated with Azure.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for test scenarios, test cases, test data, and testing outcomes.

• Utilize test management tools (such as JIRA, ALM, TestRail) for efficient test tracking and reporting.

• Participate in root cause analysis to resolve data-related defects and support continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience crafting complex queries for data validation.

• Practical expertise with automation frameworks (preferably on Azure).

• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data testing tasks.

• Solid understanding of data modeling, data profiling, and data mapping principles.

• Experience working with leading database technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.

• Familiarity with data quality frameworks and best practices in data management.

• Proven experience using test management tools like JIRA, ALM, or TestRail.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
